About Clint Turner

After nearly 25 years in the satellite telecommunications industry I have the opportunity to take the next step in my career. I have been involved with the design, implementation and maintaining of multiple VSAT platforms, including distribution of video and data content via satellite where I designed and implemented several unique systems and procedures related to satellite network operations and to offer support to other users of similar systems - including terrestrial. For hobby, work and consultation I have worked on projects that require experience with hardware, ranging from DC/power through radio frequencies - into the microwave region and light. Many of these projects have required programming skills to integrate such hardware on multiple platforms ranging from embedded controllers to PCs. One such project involved a stand-alone amateur radio Software-Defined HF transceiver that I had a large part in reworking - taking it from a barely-usable form to a respected hardware platform which included solving a number of hardware issues of the original design. On the software side I streamlined the DSP code, added many new features, and overhauled the user interface - all while being mindful of the limited resources of the hardware platform to maintain a good user experience.
