About Clinton T. Oneill

I build smarter energy systems and the strategies to scale them. With over 16 years in solar, energy storage, DERs, and clean energy operations, I’ve led across every link in the chain. From rooftop installs to multi-megawatt virtual power plants, my experience spans startups and utilities, public commissions and private companies, technical sales and procurement, field engineering and C-suite strategy. I built and scaled a full-service EPC for commercial and residential markets, growing it from startup to a $30M annual operation. I also led its go-to-market strategy into the energy storage space, securing multi-megawatt contracts under key incentive programs. My recent work focuses on the edge of transformation- Developing DER strategy for a municipal utility pursuing 100% non-carbon energy by 2030 - Launching consulting services for CRM based sales strategy and omnichannel marketing tools for clean energy contractors and local service based SMBs- Supporting virtual power plant aggregation and utility-customer interface design At my core, I build processes, programs, proposals, models, platforms, teams, and trust. I translate technical complexity into clear, executable strategy, combining ground-level pragmatism with a long-term vision for a distributed, decarbonized future built with integrity. If you're working on the next generation of clean energy infrastructure and need someone who can bridge policy, product, process, and people, I’d love to connect.
