About Clinton Waller

My professional career began as a cased hole wireline Field Engineer, and I am currently a Field Service Manager. However, my education is in Geosystems and Hydrogeology Engineering, and I am currently seeking a change to that field. My strong customer service background was honed on the floors of restaurants as a waiter, and it now serves my employer as I consistently build great relationships with our clients, and have maintained and grown our customer base in a down market. My process relies on two-way communication, identifying gaps in quality, and closing those gaps. As an expert in my field, I was chosen to represent our company in a high profile job in Argentina, and with the help of an amazing team, we won the contract. In addition to South America, I have worked in Mexico and the Middle East as a technical expert, and help grow our market globally. Aside from my full time work as an engineer, I have created and managed a real estate LLC that is profitable. I bought 5 properties, remodeled them, and rented them to families in the San Antonio, TX area. I taught myself essential trades during remodeling such as plumbing (sinkand toilet installation,) flooring (tile and laminate), electrical (lighting, fans, and outlets), and tiling (full shower and backsplash.) Though I don't plan to work in this field full time, I saved myself thousands of dollars by investing my time in learning and doing it myself. I saved hundreds of dollars by becoming my own CPA and filing my own personal, business, and state taxes with no formal training. The most difficult role I assumed in my company was that of property manager. Collecting rent, repair requests, and being fair but firm with tenants is difficult to learn on the internet, but it is a challenge I accept. I plan to grow this company to a 10-20 property group of rentals that will provide capitol to flip homes. It will also be a continued learning project for my informal MBA.
