About Clipper Young

I am a professor at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine, where I combine my skills and training as a clinical pharmacist, a public health advocate, and a medical educator. I have over ten years of experience working with an interdisciplinary diabetes team, providing pharmacotherapeutic recommendations, diabetes education, and clinical research. I am passionate about advancing health equity and improving the quality of life for people with diabetes and other chronic conditions. As a faculty member, I also mentor and teach students and healthcare professionals on diabetes-related topics, assist the development of community-based screening programs, lead a pharmacy-focused home health program, and conduct clinical research with an interest in the psychosocial aspect of diabetes management. I am committed to lifelong learning and exploring new ways to tackle diabetes and its complications. I hold multiple board certifications and credentials in geriatric pharmacy, diabetes care and education, advanced diabetes management, and advanced practice pharmacy. I have been learning a lot about AI lately with the goal of integrating this new technology into my clinical, public health, and teaching practices.
