Officer of the Watch II/1 Unlimited with a Basic Polar Code COP and an Advanced Dangerous Cargo Endorsement for Oil Tankers and Gas Tankers and ships subject to the IGF Code. Currently sailing as 2nd Officer with Seapeak LNG and have previously sailed as 2nd Officer on Cruise Ships and Coastal Tankers. I have a wide range of maritime experience including solo and dual watchkeeping on Gas Tankers, Oil Tankers, Passenger Ships, Military Vessels and Harbour Tugs. I have also taken part in sea trials for new build vessels within the UK and have experience of shipyard operations including pre and post drydock operations in shipyards around the world. Throughout my marine experience my roles and duties have included assisting the Master, Officers and Crew with the maintenance of the vessel and all aspects of navigation, bridge procedures, safety and deck and cargo operations. I have been appointed Safety Officer on numerous occasions leading the training and development of crew onboard with Lifesaving and Firefighting Appliances techniques as well as company SMS procedures. I am currently a serving Royal Naval Reserve Officer working alongside regular Royal Navy personnel, providing me with teamwork, leadership, communication, and organisational skills enhancing my capabilities and response to incidents and emergencies. In addition, I have completed a Master’s Degree in Shipping Operations with an emphasis on Maritime Law and Accident Investigation. I am also completing my Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers PQE’s alongside my experience at sea.
