About Clive Bellis

I am a HCPC Registered Independent Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the BPS. I split my time between neuropsychology and forensic psychology. With Clarity Psychology I offer independent psychological and neuropsychological assessment, rehabilitation, and therapeutic intervention to adults and young people in the North East of England. I routinely provide neuropsychological assessment using such psychometrics as the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), the Developmental Neuropsychological Assessment (NEPSY-II), the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS), and the Weschler Memory Scales (WMS). In addition, I also offer therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), cognitive rehabilitation following traumatic or acquired brain injuries, and with adjusting to life long conditions to both those directly affected and their families. With The Grange Psychological Services I provide expert opinion, assessments and comprehensive court reports for children and young people nationally. These include assessments of cognitive ability, intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental difficulties, mental health, risk, fitness to plead, capacity, and treatment and disposal recommendations for criminal courts. I am familiar with safeguarding procedures and structured risk tools. I am accustomed to working within a legal framework and how this applies to young people. I also provide staff training, supervision, consultation, and indirect working through my roles. I am also an accredited clinical supervisor and provide doctoral level teaching on Teesside University’s Clinical Psychology Doctorate program.
