I’m an executive leader, drawing on my business acumen, people leadership, program management and engineering capabilities to lead teams to deliver complex major programs and transformation in multinational organisations across defence, national security, ICT and aviation. I have successfully led large teams of up to 700, been accountable for P&L of up to $1Bn/yr, and turned around failing programs to deliver staff engagement, customer satisfaction and profitability. I bring end-to-end supply chain expertise from across customers, prime contractors, subcontractors and vendors. I have a proven track record of program delivery and have been the recipient of awards from UK Ministry of Defence and Australian Industry. My achievements include: Transformed 700-strong division, growing financial performance by 15%, with highest employee engagement and lowest absenteeism of all operating centres. Worked with Managed Service Provider to transform operating practices, restructure to a function-based balanced matrix, improve strategic workforce planning, and incentivise the workforce. Reduced air traffic management costs by $1.7Bn at 65 MOD airfields, and delivered 12 months early. Accelerated $3Bn contract placement to combine 70 legacy contracts into a single service provision, replacing obsolete equipment with modern and efficient technology. Received Minister Defence Procurement’s Special Award for Acquisition Excellence. Turned around failing acquisition of secure deployed communications network to deliver operationally into Afghanistan and Iraq. Built an effective leadership team, instilled robust governance, developed a vision and communicated progress against it. Increased customer satisfaction from red to green, and profit from $6M loss to 10%+. I’m passionate about delivering mission critical services, through technical innovation, to save lives or to keep the community safe.
