I was a solicitor and partner in the firm's Dispute Resolution Department which provided litigation and dispute resolution services across a wide spectrum of commercial activity as well as for private clients. My main areas of activity within the Department were Commercial and Insolvency Litigation. I also provided advice and act for clients engaged in Chancery Trust and Inheritance litigation.Whilst in practiceI was a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) In the past I had also been a longstanding Member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel I have been recognised as a leader in my field by Chambers UK and Legal 500 for Dispute Resolution. Whilst in practice I had been involved in a number of reported cases, in the field of construction of development agreements and options, contract disputes, personal injury actions, insolvency actions and Trusts. In practice I provided advice to clients in the leisure and entertainment industries and past major licensing projects have included the licensing for alcohol and public entertainment of Southampton Football Club's St Mary's Stadium and Hampshire Cricket Club's Rosebowl Stadium. I have previously been an accredited commercial mediator with the ADR Group and have conducted a large number of mediations in recent years either as Mediator or as solicitor for one of the parties. I have previously conducted litigation for clients through local lawyers in a number of foreign jurisdictions including France, Belgium, Austria and Portugal
