About Clodagh Murphy

After I completed my Professional Master of Education in University College Cork in 2020,I decided that teaching simply wasn't the right role for me. So when the pandemic hit in March 2020, I decided to switch careers and start pursuing the things I was most passionate about. I knew the past five years I had spent in hospitality meant that I was a people pleaser with a real passion for delivering quality service and that, ever since my Leaving Certificate in 2015, I had always had a passion for writing- both professionally and creatively. Hence, when I came across the Masters degree in Public Relations and New Media at Munster Technological University Cork (formerly Cork Institute of Technology),I knew it was the degree for me. As part of my studies,I have honed my story telling skills by immersing myself in online written and business communication classes, digital editing modules and of course the theory and practical knowledge that one needs to know to work in the communications sector - from corporate social responsibility,to the inner most workings of social media account promotion and of course, PR campaign formation.
