About Cody Akers

I am an Ohio Born, Florida raised, New York educated, temporary Texan, that found his way back to Florida. I have a deep desire to learn new things and thrive in environments that demand efficiency. I have spent the last 5 years as an Army Engineer Officer, having the privilege to lead over 100 American Soldiers through complex and dynamic problem sets. I currently am working as a Senior Project Manager at NextEra Energy Resources. My experience thus far has taught me how valuable adaptable leadership can be, applying my skills to medical administration, logistic coordination, team leadership, construction management, and now utility scale renewable development. In all positions I accomplished measurable achievements in building effective teams and creating systems for continued progress. The most important things to me in a professional environment are unconditional positive regard, team focused mindsets, efficient management of individual's talents, and a healthy work life balance that promotes lasting success.
