About Cody Barnes

I am in my third year at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. I’m currently working on finishing up my associates in general business. After graduating from Chandler-Gilbert Community College, I plan on joining the work force. My favorite subjects in school are accounting and science courses because I like seeing how everything works. I am a good multitasker who is dependable, honest, and resourceful. I use these strengths to achieve any task that is thrown my way be it for school, work, or just fixing something in my daily life. During my time at Chandler-Gilbert, I have been working at Bashas in the deli department gaining experience as a team member and learning how to efficiently accomplish goals for getting the job done. Outside of school, I have been in Boy Scouts and reached up to being a Life Scout. Throughout my years as a scout, I learned many things such as to giving back to the community as well as leadership. Over the years, I have done hundreds of hours of community service ranging from working at food banks to building planter boxes and bird houses for a nature preserves. I have led a service project on Angel Island to clean up trash and gutters on the island. For a fun activity, I enjoy bowling and even bowled games over 200. I also enjoy traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and enjoying new experiences. My goal is to find a job in the business field with emphasis in accounting and a job that I will enjoy going to each day. I look forward to meeting those in the field of accounting.
