Hello, I am currently a Middle School Science teacher of grades 6-8 and I love my job! Yes, it's hard work keeping up-to-date with current mainstream science and technology (not to mention trying to keep a head of students and the technology they already have.), and also providing hands-on, real-world, engaging labs and activities prepared ahead of time and ready for students, while also creating formative and summative assessments to gauge their learning, BUT it is SO worth the,"Aha!" moment that I get to share with my students when they finally "get" it! Plus, the labs really are fun to do, and when the students are engaged and having fun as well, it brings a definite sense of satisfaction and joy. I get to experience seeing my students "do science" and find fun in their learning at the same time, and that's pretty great:)
