About Cody Munford

I graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a diploma in Technology Management & Entrepreneurship. Since April 2017, I have been working as a Maintenance Planner at Irving Pulp & Paper where I've developed into a maintenance professional completing both my Professional Engineering designation and Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification. I work in a high pace environment where I’m required to plan, schedule, and coordinate complex maintenance work to maintain multi-million-dollar assets. This work requires me to lead and motivate highly skilled tradesmen to execute work in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Prior to my work at Irving Pulp & Paper, I worked for Irving Forest Services as a project engineering co-op student on a large capital project and had a co-op position at Irving Oil where I performed condition monitoring analysis on rotating and reciprocating machinery. I also have experience in International Development and Business Consulting through work with Engineers Without Borders Canada and Business Development Services Africa. Prior to this, I gained first-hand experience in manufacturing while working with NTI; Canada's leading producer of hydronic home-heating boilers.
