About Cody Wirth

Having worked on and built multiple production web applications that receive over page hits a day, and coding in general, has made me realize that I am a passionate problem solver who enjoys tackling dense technical issues until I can find a resolution to move forward. I have a love for mock-ups and UIs, as well as the complexity of back-end services and architecture. Some of my work has involved working with eCommerce sites, Conversational AI, Natural Language Processing, native and hybrid mobile application development, recommendation engines, messaging services, as well as a lot of developer operations projects. One of my favorite projects as an engineer was creating an API endpoint for an artificial intelligence chatbot that I had worked on creating with content writers. I also implemented an interactive voice response system using the Twilio API so that users could call in and ping the endpoint. In addition, I implemented text-to-speech and speech-to-text libraries to translate what was communicated back to our API for a response, which was then parsed by the natural language processor I worked on so a response from our chatbot would be formed. I also implemented machine learning libraries such as Amazon Polly to make the conversation you were holding over the phone with the chatbot sound more human and less robotic. My interest and passion for both high-level languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, low-level programming languages such as C++, and Rust, as well as OS-level languages such as the C family, have given me a diverse set of skills and expertise that I can bring to any team or project. I am open to all work related to solutions engineering, software engineering, as well as Technical Product Management. I am eager to continue expanding my knowledge and experience in the field of technology while leveraging my skills to create innovative solutions to complex problems.
