About Colbert Lynch

Executive Director at Valentia Partners and CIMA qualified accountant. I have been working in Financial Services for 20+ years, with extensive experience in Treasury, Finance, Capital, and Liquidity. Over the course my career I have built Finance Data Warehouses, redesigned Treasury and Finance business models. Currently working as a Programme lead on a new Treasury platform at one of British’s largest Banks. I have worked on Transformation deliveries, with the responsibility for overall solution design and delivery across multiple functional areas including Payments, Front Office, Treasury, Back Office, Customer Experience and Finance. With that as part of business and technology operations I have designed and implemented complex operating models responding to regulatory compliance, driving cost efficiencies, standing-up new functions and modernising legacy technology. I have all extensive experience within the Finance community having worked in the Management, Regulatory, Finance and Capital & Liquidity teams. During that time, I have worked on previous projects which have changed how we report our Financials from delivering the SAP system to creating our own Financial Data Warehouse which is now used to report one of Irelands largest Banks accounts. Also, with that I have helped to roll out a Funds Transfer Pricing model across the business areas within the bank. I maintain a network of cross functional relationships with various business and operational teams, regularly sharing knowledge, to solve problems and streamline processes. I have demonstrated a willingness to adapt to changing business requirements and learn new systems. Clients and colleagues would see me as very approachable with a positive attitude that no challenge can’t be overcome. I have been involved in SVP for over 15 years doing home visits and currently I’m the Treasurer in my conference. I have completed the 4 peaks challenge which helped raise funds an awareness for Focus Ireland and the 3 peaks challenge in the UK again raising funds and awareness for the SOCK charity. I’ve also spent many summers helping out with sunshine house although my time is limited in helping these days due to my 7-year-old princess keeping me quite busy.
