About Colby Mort

Since an early age I've been fascinated with technology and the impact it has on the world we live in. Having began my career as a junior programmer, I quickly realised that my interests instead lied in wanting to educate and help bring the latest innovations to audiences in an accessible and impactful way. Whether it's Web3 community building, fan loyalty through Digital Collectibles or geeking out over the roll blockchain applications play in bringing trust and transparency to legacy industries, there's not a day that goes by where I'm not wowed at everything that's unfolding in the technology space. At present, my attention is sharply focused on the roll Web3 has to play in the events industry as the relationship between artists, fans, event organisers and the legitimate parties in the industry is ripe for improvement. Web3 has the ability to create lasting connections between fans, artists and event organisers that put the control back in the hands of creators. This is what I focus on day to day at GET Protocol, as we build ticket & collectible tooling that's accessible for all.
