About Colby Ross

I am currently a second-year Master’s of Mental Health Counseling student at Boston College, with over 4 years of experience working in inpatient psychiatric and medical hospitals. I am currently employed as a Mental Health Specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital on their inpatient psychiatry unit and interning at BayCove Human Services on their Mobile Crisis Intervention Team (MCI)(also known as BEST). I am passionate about addictions and trauma counseling, primarily in treating adult clientele, but I have well-rounded experience with treating patients across the life span with a range of mental health concerns. I have the current goal of obtaining my licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor following graduation and beginning to take on outpatient clients. My long-term goal for my career is to establish my own counseling practice and eventually obtain a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with the hopes of expanding this practice, engaging in future research, and/or teaching at various levels.
