About Cole Querry

As a Director of Special Projects at AFSCME Council 31 in Illinois, I lead strategic initiatives to advance the interests of public service workers and protect their rights. I work with legislative and political stakeholders, coordinate campaigns and communications, and oversee budget and staff management. I am passionate about promoting social justice, equity, and democracy in the workplace and the society. I completed my Master of Public Administration at University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law, where I graduated summa cum laude. During the graduate program, I completed an internship with AFSCME and eventually joined full-time as a Political Action Representative upon graduation. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from University of California, Riverside, where I was a member of The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement. I have developed strong skills in writing, communication, copy editing and analysis through my academic and professional experiences, including an internship at Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority and a legislative analyst role at California Special Districts Association. In addition, I am an Executive Board Member for the Raymus Foundation - a nonprofit focusing on education and cultural enrichment.
