They share an underlying connectivity that allows us to work collaboratively by pushing our boundaries while being confident in our skills and our decisions. This team dynamic is what excites me about managing and reminds me a lot of my competitive hockey days. The fact that its not the team captain or manager that wins games or achieve milestones rather it’s their ability to inspire and understand their team to motive them individually to achieve a common goal is what’s unique. So far what I’ve enjoyed about my career is that it’s structured around developing people and motivating them towards their goals and what transpires reflects my own personal success. With a degree in Economics and a minor in Management from the University of Calgary I have been fortunate enough to develop and grow my career domestically and internationally. With over a decade of experience in the retail industry it has taught me so much and has provided me with so many great opportunities. During my time as a manager I have had the opportunity to manage numerous multi-store locations across three different brands, help organize and assist in the re-model and opening store process of four locations, and represent a company at Double H Ranch for Serious Fun Children Network as a camp councillor. With managing a team of regional set of staff, I am an overall well-rounded person who has a strong focus on growth and development. I strategically analyze situations to effectively problem solve and exhibits strong written and oral communication skills to build and establish relationships.
