About Coleman Goode

I am a Community Organizer at Workers Center for Racial Justice, where I have been working for over a year to mobilize and empower Black and Brown communities to fight for racial and economic justice. I have more than 5 years of experience in community organizing, with a focus on HIV/AIDS prevention Racial Justice and education, especially among BIPOC populations. In my previous role as a Manager of Community Organizing at AIDS Foundation of Chicago, I developed and curated safe spaces for people living with and vulnerable to HIV, as well as programs to educate, uplift and build relationships among diverse communities. I also met with local, state, and federal law makers to push for public policies that help fulfill the needs of communities from all over the state of Illinois. I am skilled at conveying clear information and ideas both verbally and in writing across audiences, identifying community organizations and leaders to establish and nurture relationships, speaking at public events to evangelize for organizational goals and interests, and participating in strategy development and planning to grow organizing. I am passionate about racial justice advocacy and creating positive social change through collective action and solidarity.
