About Colette Korva

My passion and talents for art started young, and became self taught as early as age 5. Traditional media was all I knew, so I practiced everyday with graphite, pastel, colored pencil, acrylic paints, and so on. I enrolled myself into every art class, art club, and art contest that I could afford throughout k-12 and earned myself a handful of awards. My passion and determination led me to college at my local community college, where I studied Graphic Design Media with scholarships. I was blessed with motherhood and decided to pursue my passion from home as I raised my children, to which then led me to discover the world of digital art. I bought a Wacom Intuos and started with the free GIMP software, then slowly made my way up to Clip Studio Paint and Procreate. I started taking commissions for anything I could get my hands on to test my skills and interests, and discovered I was especially gifted with portraiture and character creation. Now, I have strong goals to become a User Experience Designer and make professional connections. I’m excited to see where my passion and skill set will take me, and I hope to make an impact on a wider audience.
