About Colette Morgan-Ford

I have a dual role at Weightmans LLP. I am the Co Lead Partner on the Construction team. I am also the Product & Innovation Partner for the Built Environment and in that role I sit at the intersection of client, operations and innovation and help to develop market leading tech driven products and solutions for clients. I have worked in private practice for 25 years. In my capacity as a Construction lawyer, I:(i) have significant experience of dispute resolution procedures (including adjudication, litigation, mediation and arbitration (both domestically and internationally)), risk management and strategic advice on construction and engineering projects;(ii) act for a wide variety of clients including developers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, house builders, housing associations, local authorities and education have a wide perspective in the sector and advises on the standard form suite of contracts (e.g. FIDIC, JCT, NEC), bespoke contracts and complex long term contractual chains such as PFI. I am a vocal diversity advocate and proud to be a Weightmans D&I Champion. I am delighted by the ongoing positive shift towards a legal profession and built environment industry that has more diversity, equality and inclusion (particularly at the most senior levels).
