The legal field is a foundational part of society that impacts our daily lives. I saw this impact play out, in a major way, in my first legal internship with the Illinois Innocence Project. Beyond the tangible investigation and writing skills I learned while with the Innocence Project, I learned the incredible importance of holding the legal system to its core value of justice. This core experience cemented my desire to pursue a legal career. Today, I am excited to be studying the law, so I can help push our legal system to be better than it was before.
