As the Founder and CEO of Stratford Underwriting Agency, I am very proud to have launched a full service provider of the BC Auto insurance product. Stratford is a Managing General Agency ( MGA). We are offering the Stratford product through an ever growing network of brokers. That list can be found at Stratfordsaves.ca. Recently Stratford moved our offices into Railtown. We are now on the stretch of Railway Street that includes Stratford, Aritzia and Herschel, all head offices. A very special, gentrified area. In addition, as I posted, we upgraded our logo and I’m told it looks great. It’s cool to change things up regularly. Stratford has a great team, many of whom worked with me previously. What we have built is new, exciting and yes, bigger, better and cooler! BC needs a stronger, more aggressive private sector presence in Auto Insurance. I know that Stratford will contribute to that. Check out our new Motomaxx replacement cost policy. We now have about policyholders and hope to hit in 2023. Come along for the ride! It is now some years since I retired from the position of Executive Officer at Intact. Since that time I have joined Alteri Insurance Brokers as Chairman of the Board and advisor. Alteri is an exciting new broker with Joshua Krenus as CEO. Joshua is a great marketer and will be featuring the Stratford BC Auto product. Alteri continue to grow and now operate in Alberta. Check them out if you need a broker! I have also been working as Strategic Advisor to eBrake, which is the industry leader in distracted driving apps. I am very proud to be contributing to the success of this leading edge product. As a founder of Canadian Direct Insurance, I worked with a great group of people to build one of Western Canada's most successful insurance companies, recognised for three consecutive years by J D Power as the leader in customer service. Through all of this I have been on the Board of Trustees of the BC Sports Hall of Fame, as Chair I worked with a superb group of staff and volunteers to refurbish the Hall and open the 2010 Olympic Gallery. It is outstanding, do check it out. I continue my association with UBCOB Ravens Rugby Club and the BC Sports Hall of Fame. Spending time with my lovely wife Mykie and my family, especially the grandkids, preferably at our house on the Sunshine Coast pretty much completes the picture.
