About Colin Clark

I worked in mortgage lending for years. I was drawn to helping people achieve the American Dream, a milestone of which is homeownership. One of the trends I started to notice, especially with self-employed business owners and first-time home buyers, was set underwriting rules for getting approved for a home caused a huge challenge. After some time I noticed that I was working with people for 3, 6, and even 18 months getting them positioned to purchase the home. Especially when it came to discussing qualified income for tax filings for business owners, or if we can use that overtime pay for hard-working employees, I found that being more involved in their financial journey brought a lot more value, and joy. I focus now on educating people on the tools they have available and the ways to use those tools to leverage for their goals, whether that's still buying that first (or third) house, or if it's any other goal.we work together to develop some ideas and implement a strategy for the future.
