I am a one of two technical managers for BTMSL Service Operations. We provide a broad range of technical knowledge across BTMSL area (Field/Desk/Service/Front Door/Planning & Design) including In-Life, Project and Transformation. We look to support resolutions to technical issues, work with our vendors and suppliers, take a lead in ensuring logistics, IT systems, tooling and consumables are in place to allow for smooth delivery of contracted customer requirements, and finally take a lead for BTMSL on the planning of new service introductions including impact assessment reviews and training needs analysis. Personally I have been in the telecoms industry since 1977, working for the likes of Reliance Telephone Company, GPT, Dellfield Digital, Mitel, Bell Cable and Virgin Media. I have during this time covered roles of engineer, support technician (2nd line and 3rd line support), trainer, lead engineer, field manager and finally technical manager. I work well in a team environment, and love a challenge! I also have exceptional problem solving skills which go hand in hand with the maintenance and project management aspect of my career.
