About Colin Heming

Senior software developer and technical designerWriting software has been a passion of mine since childhood, when I got my hands on my first computer - a Commodore 128. I loved finding new ways to make it do my bidding. Computers have evolved since then, but the passion for writing software sparked by this remarkable machine has always stayed with me.I have been writing software professionally since 2006, where I took a graduate position in a software consultancy firm. This position gave me a valuable mix of broad technical experience and customer service skills. Software architecture and database design were two key skills I developed, leading me to become the lead technical designer on a number of successful commercial enterprise projects.Clients have appreciated the professional manner in which I engage them in the development process, and the solutions ultimately delivered. I am passionate about delivering software which is useful and improves the lives of the people using it.The primary languages I use are C#(.NET), C++, SQL, Javascript, and Python. I have a keen interest in mobile development, and in the applications of machine learning and data visualisation.
