About Colin Lea

Originally from a broadacre farming background in the Riverina and now based in North Queensland, I have a passion for serving clients in the Agribusiness and Farming sectors. I am a Partner, AFSL Responsible Manager, and Financial Adviser CFP® Professional at Carey Group. We provide expert financial, accounting, tax, business advisory, marketing and audit advice to clients throughout Queensland. With foundations dating back to 1951, Carey Group currently operates from 5 offices across Queensland - Cairns, Malanda, Ingham, Townsville and Brisbane, with a team of 9 Partners and more than 80 staff. My clients range from multi-generational farming families, medium to large scale private businesses, large regional agribusiness enterprises, high net worth individuals and family groups. My areas of expertise include wealth creation and retirement planning, investment strategy development for Self-Managed Super Funds, private wealth advice for high net worth clients, risk management strategies through insurance, and leading joint discussions in succession planning. I am a Responsible Manager and Authorised Representative of Endure Wealth Pty Ltd (ABN 87 632 221 713 AFSL 516435). Prior to joining Carey Group, I was in the Australian Army as an Officer serving for 21 years in military and international logistics, strategic planning, leadership and management roles, including multiple operational deployments to East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan. During this time I completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of New South Wales, a Bachelor of Business at Sydney University, and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning with Kaplan Professional.
