About Colin Markison

I became fascinated with investments and how successful people built their wealth while attending University of Vermont, where I graduated in 2015. After six years as a professional hockey player, I hung up my skates and joined The Hill Group in 2023. My favorite class, while attending the University of Vermont, focused on investment analysis and I was hooked. Hungry to learn more, I studied hard and opened an investment account. Later, while playing professional hockey, one of my teammates asked what I was doing on my phone. He knew nothing about investments and I began to teach him. Soon, I was educating others and decided to do it professionally. I believe people deserve to understand the markets and how disciplined investing can pave the way toward important goals. I am proud to provide unbiased advice and guidance to clients – reminding them that my role is "sweating the details" so that they can focus on what brings them joy. As a stickler for accuracy and timely execution, I believe that trust must be earned by getting things done right, the first time.
