Across the world, tunnelling techniques haven’t changed significantly since the Victorians pioneered this new form of construction, yet with the global population becoming increasingly connected, the need for underground transport and utilities infrastructure has never been greater. By bringing together the best practices from industries as diverse as; open cast mining, Formula 1, and 3D printing our radical new infraTech process is seeking to overcome the challenges in tunnelling and underground works to provide next generation technology. The hyperTunnel method has a modular structure designed to not only provide a completely new tunnel solution but also to facilitate the repairing, enlarging and monitoring of existing tunnels in a way that is highly sympathetic to in use assets. hyperTunnel will be deployed in various sectors including mining, rail & road, utilities and underground asset management.
