About Colin Ryan

I was the type of kid who was always taking things apart and putting them back together just to see how they worked. When I was 3 years old, my engineering career began with breaking open a light bulb to see what that wire inside was, and how it could magically create light. Obviously did this not end well, but I wasn’t going to let stitches and a hospital visit stop my natural curiosity and desire to understand how things work. To make things worse, I still never figured out how that light bulb worked. My engineering journey began with a rocky start, but was definitely not the end, and I have the scars to prove it! My career continued formally at the University of Idaho, where I majored with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Go Vandals! I feel my decision to become a Mechanical Engineer was the best career choice I made. As a naturally curious, solution oriented, and perpetual learner, I am fascinated to learn how things work and how to make them better.
