About Colin Ryder

Hi, I’m Colin. I'm a registered General Nurse. I am currently working in community nursing with TCP Homecare, serving the Connaught region. I am enjoying this new role a lot. I find it very satisfying knowing that I have helped people who are often anxious and afraid when leaving the hospital. I believe that most people recover from illnesses better from the comfort of their own home. They can achieve a better quality of life with the services we provide. It allows patients to be discharged earlier and avoids the unnecessary stress of having to go to hospital for minor outpatient procedures. I strive to help people by reducing their fear through patient/family/carer education and support. Prior to working with TCP, most of my experience was in perioperative nursing which I found incredibly rewarding and challenging. I am an ambitious person and I love learning and I envisage developing myself professionally and personally.
