About Colin Slafkosky

I am a student in Mechanical Engineering Technology at ECPI University, expected to graduate in June 2024. I was also an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Louisiana State University, where I was was working on creating a Digital Focusing Colored Schlieren System to study the change in the diffractive index of a fluid. In addition to my research, I have tutored and mentored seven students in Physics and Calculus at LSU, helping them achieve academic success and personal growth. I have also worked as a Warehouse Supervisor at CountryMax Stores, managing the delivery, distribution, and inventory of various product lines, as well as the overall operations and safety of the warehouse. I am passionate about applying my engineering skills and knowledge to real-world problems and challenges, and I value teamwork, innovation, and learning. I believe I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as well as a strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset.Due to an accident I was in that left me hospitalized I took a gap year from my education and transferred universities to ECPI. Since then I have been taking an overloaded course schedule to graduate as soon as possible. While pursuing my education I have been working on three side projects where I have been applying what I've learned through designing, testing and analyzing the systems. Currently I am seeking a patent for one of my projects and aspire to bring my hardworking mindset into the industry.
