About Colleen Brewer

I am a workaholic and happiest when I am learning new skills, improving my performance, competing with others, or managing projects with a team. I tend to be loud, energetic, and even mischievous when engaging with others or motivating a group. I am absolutely a “people person” and look forward to meeting new people and shaping new experiences. I am at my calmest when there is a challenge to overcome or a change to manage. I have never been afraid to work hard, sweat through the heat to finish an objective; and finish it well. I work long hours and am often the first one in and the last one out- I hunger for success and really earnestly try to support my teammates- understanding that the whole team needs to be successful over the individual. I am not afraid to jump in and plug along with my team- but I am also conscientious of delegating to complete tasks and understand that more can be accomplished with a cohesive team then my set of hands alone. With a decade of management experience, both “front of the house” and “back of the house”, I have developed from being the “boss” to becoming a leader of the most incredible group of people who strive each day to impact the quality of life of another. I believe I excel at team building, staff development, and promoting a diverse and inclusive working environment for my teammates, my residents and my clients. As I continue to grow in my career, my long term goal is to enter the arena of “Learning & Performance” and become an educator to both the community and in the workplace.
