Background

About Colleen Clancy

For more than 22 years, I have enjoyed working in the fields of community investment, marketing and communications and producing special events for various corporations, individuals and within the non-profit sector. More recently, I have been excited to have undertaken the challenge of producing successful online presentations and webinars. I look forward to delving further into the digital age with podcasting presentations featuring relevant and timely topics and guest speakers. I am particularly proud of having been instrumental, along with a dynamic group of Calgary event industry visionaries, in establishing the Canadian Special Events Society, and sat on the board of the International Special Events Society (now ILEA) for 3 years. Having been a member of Chickwagon! Foundation for Women for several years, I was honored to undertake the role of President during our 15th Anniversary in 2014. Since that time, I have placed my focus more on fulfilling my passion of event production, working under contract for corporate clients such as Alliance Pipeline and as in house planner for Kerby Centre for 5 1/2 years where I found considerable reward in producing events to provide meaningful social opportunities for our community of seniors, helping to reduce isolation, and providing information about services and resources to meet diverse their needs.
