About Colleen Considine

Having completed my BA Honours degree in fashion journalism I am an experienced writer with a key background in fashion history, music, art and culture. I am currently the editor of my publication, Grafter magazine, which is a print and online magazine. Looking to fringe cultures in the United Kingdom, uncovering class and identity issues. As a journalism graduate I developed my skills as a photographer, videographer and have demonstrated skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Premier. Allowing me to perfect editorial layouts and branch out into different media fields. While having a knowledgeable writing background this has allowed me to communicate in a variety of journalistic tones. Including, opinion and interview features, trend forecast pieces and due to this I have expanded my writing expertise into music and art based work. Leading me to have an informed cultural background in not just fashion but comedy, politics, art with a particular interest for music and culture while looking to societal issues. I thrive on deadlines, something I am accustom to with my work inside university and outside, leading me to work in an efficient and organised manner. I aim to expand my areas of expertise in the media field, thriving on all new opportunities in the industry and outside of, sharing my unique perspective through my voice.
