About Colleen McCarthy

I’m a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with 14 years of experience and a deep-rooted passion for renal nutrition. My career began with starting and running a private practice, where I built strong client relationships, developed business acumen, and learned the value of personalized, compassionate care. That entrepreneurial foundation continues to shape my approach today. Currently, I serve in a leadership role at a dialysis clinic, where I blend clinical expertise with operational insight to deliver high-quality patient care. Prior to this, I spent three years at DaVita and two years at Fresenius Kidney Care, where I developed a strong foundation in nephrology and discovered my passion for supporting patients with chronic kidney disease. Earlier in my career, I worked in acute care at Northside, gaining critical experience in fast-paced clinical environments and honing my interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Before transitioning into nutrition, I had a fulfilling career as a professional ballerina and later as a ballet teacher and coach until 2018. This unique background adds creativity, discipline, and empathy to my work in healthcare.
