About Colleen Nolan

As a proud Anishinaabe woman, originally from Garden River First Nation, I am the daughter of a Residential School Survivor. Growing up, I’ve experienced many challenges and limited opportunities but always found a way. With teachings of bravery, respect and humility, I work passionately to help others move forward - to learn, to develop, to grow. I am passionate in the work I do and want others to succeed. Through engaging, enlightening and energizing training sessions, participants leave motivated, encouraged and determined to reach their goals. The success of others is what makes me committed to the continued development of our people. Covid made me realize I had a hidden talent - making moccasins and mitts. Since Sept 2020, I have taught over people to make their own traditional footwear and mitts. Teaching this craft is a new passion of mine! Building relationships and developing working partnerships, it’s important that I not only engage my Indigenous community but work at expanding my network with partners and allies. I truly love the connections I’ve made through my work. With a background in Business Administration, certifications also include TAED, Personality Dimensions, Practical Workshop Facilitation and Career and Employment Coach. In my free time, I am committed to ongoing professional and personal development, enjoying life, and taking in a little bit of golf when I can. Golfing friends wanted! lol
