About Collette Sharples

I am a medical secretary for two consultants. My daily role is to support them as well as arrange medication and appointments for service users. I organise professional meetings for my consultant and minute said meetings if needed. A major part of my role is to complete audio typing of clinical letters to send to professionals involved in a service users care. I control their diaries as well as set up new clinics starting from resourcing locations to negotiating dates, times and receiving of the invoices to be approved from higher management. I also scan and send prescriptions for service users medication to be dispensed. I communicate with services users constantly throughout the day to help them with their requests. I am professional, flexible and a team player. I am organised and able to use my initiative to prioritise my workload. I have confidence in line managing staff members and able to complete appraisals and supervisions.
