About Collin Martinez

I am a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student at UC Santa Barbara with hands-on experience in engineering design, prototyping, and technical support. Through various engineering projects, I’ve built strong skills in CAD, machining, 3D printing, circuitry, and iterative design. In my role with UCSB Academic Affairs IT, I maintain 3D printers, troubleshoot hardware systems, and support students and faculty with technical challenges—strengthening my problem-solving and communication skills.I am a fast learner, well organized, and highly motivated to continue growing in the engineering industry. I want to contribute to meaningful work that has real-world impact, whether through research and development, energy-efficient technologies, advanced manufacturing, or biomedical applications. My goal is to apply my engineering skills to projects that improve people’s lives, promote sustainability, and help move critical technologies forward.I am always looking for opportunities to learn, take on responsibility, and contribute to teams working on innovative, hands-on engineering challenges.
