About Colm Dempsey

As the Assistant Controller at Gen™, a leading software company, I provide leadership for building world-class financial infrastructure and global operational accounting teams focused on, but not limited to, accounting for Cash, Cash Equivalents, Fixed Asset, Lease, Prepaid Expense, Current and Long-term Asset, Accruals, Current and Long-term Liabilities as well as financial systems. In my role, I lead a global team in executing operational accounting processes and activities across the organization to ensure compliance with the U.S. GAAP and internal policies and to expedite management reporting and decision making. I have over 15 years of experience in revenue recognition, deal review, financial reporting, general ledger management and statutory reporting working with global teams across various regions. Previously, I was a Senior Manager and a Global Revenue Accounting Manager at NortonLifeLock, where I led the revenue accounting team and supported the revenue recognition process. I also performed VSOE and SSP analysis, prepared financial statements and disclosures, and coordinated with internal and external auditors. I am passionate about delivering accurate and timely financial information, enhancing operational efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
