About Colm Kennedy

I have over 28 years experience in aerospace related fields as an Aviation Mechanical Systems Technician and then as a Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent (AM SUP) in the Canadian Armed Forces. Deadline orientated retired member of the Canadian Forces obtaining the rank of Warrant Officer, with extensive experience providing advice on logistical issues, instructing students and peers complex technical tasks, as well as, speaking in front of groups. Gained experience on both rotary and fixed wing aircraft including attainment of supervisory positions, affording significant development for both written and oral communication. Highly motivated individual and team player, able to function effectively in a variety of challenging work environments. Possess a strong desire to help others, for the better part of my life I have coached school and recreational soccer, base women’s soccer, as well as, held an executive positions on recreational soccer board for eight years, board of stewards and The Royal Canadian Legion. This would also extend to assisting the local schools for various events in volunteering in a variety of capacities. Life long interest in martial arts first with Judo then Aikido. Assisted teaching the children and adult classes in Aikido as a black belt for over seven years. Worked out of Ottawa as an LCMM then assigned to the IMMRP team due to my technical background to investigate systemic supply issues. Moved to Nova Scotia in 2015 to be reunited with my family as I was on IR and accepted a maintenance position at the Michelin tire plant in Waterville. Accepted a position as of June 2018 as Jr Life Cycle Management Specialist (TI-5) in the Director General Material Systems and Supply Chain Division (DGMSSC) providing the delivery of Government Quality Assurance (GQA) for the Department of National Defense (DND) within the Director of Quality Assurance (DQA) cell. In Sept 2019 moved back to Nova Scotia as the Lead Field Service Rep for Standard Aero at 14 Wing Greenwood.
