About Colm Murphy

At Praesta Ireland, I work with leaders and teams to achieve learning, growth and transformation that results in high performance. I am a Master-Accredited executive and team coach with over 20 years’ experience of designing and delivering coaching, learning and leadership development programmes to global audiences across the public and private sectors. I coach at a psychological level, as I believe that real change is sustained only when it is embodied and embedded in our thinking, feeling, and doing. External aspects, such as the organisational culture, pace of change, and resources all impact leadership, but what can most hinder or unleash our full potential are the assumptions, stories, needs, ingrained beliefs and sense of personal value that we bring with us into specific roles and contexts. I help my clients clarify success and purpose, recognise their strengths and development areas through diagnostics and feedback, create a plan that is aligned to the organisation, and execute successfully till the behaviour or mindset change is embedded. As a coach, my distinctiveness is in combining my own personal global blue chip leadership experience with a track record of coaching success built on my ability to build rapport, provide support and challenge, raise awareness, think systemically and explore the psychological dimensions of performance. I am a Senior faculty member of the Global Team Coach Institute and Programme director for their Senior Practitioner program. I am also a faculty member at University College Dublin Smurfit School of Business and the former Head of Coaching Programmes there.
