About Colson Hestermann

Possessing a considerable amount of communication skills and a strong work ethic, I believe that I am at my best when I am working in different environments. While also having analytical and problem-solving skills, I have made them evident in my current jobs of being a staff assistant for Campus Recreation and being a basketball official at the high school level. During these jobs, I have had the opportunity to build by communication and problem-solving skills. With that said, I have always had a love for mathematics and finance. This led to me pursuing a major in actuarial science. Being able to work with a diverse population of students as a staff assistant has led to my ability to gain respect and add to their positive experiences with intramural sports. My position as a staff assistant has greatly developed my communication and problem-solving skills. It has helped me to be able to effectively communicate with a broad population of people. I am extremely interested in statistics, finance, and mathematics. Actuarial science does a great job including each of these components in its industry. My strong work ethic and passion for helping others will assist me in building connections in the industry and having success in the future.
