About Colt Egan

Colt Egan is a library, museum, and archives professional dedicated to stimulating thoughtful dialogue through the preservation and interpretation of history and art, including the expansion of knowledge access. They've been an active participant in the Fargo-Moorhead library scene since early 2020. Experiences in collections management, scholarly research, administrative duties, and curatorial development. They graduated in 2019 with a B.A. in Heritage and Museum Studies with minors in History and Classical Studies from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. During their undergraduate studies, Colt was a Curatorial Intern at the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County in 2019; later that same year, they spent their summer collaborating with the Plains Art Museum as an Education/Curatorial intern. They were active on campus as a student archivist working at the Carl B. Ylvisaker Library and the student worker assisting the Greek and Roman Studies department, which included projects like leading the curation of the Olin Storvick Collection exhibition display located in the department offices. They are particularly interested in 2SLGBTQIA+ history, with a focus on ancient gender and sexuality in antiquity (Ancient Greece).
