Background

About Colum Campbell

I have a proven record of high performance both in work and in education. For the last four years I have worked across various roles within Diageo where I have experienced consumer marketing, front line sales and customer marketing and in each role I have worked on projects that were integral to the performance of the business. These roles have greatly increased both my functional and leadership capabilities and as a result of my performance I was promoted to the position of Brand Manager for Harp Lager, Western Europe. In this role I have been able to use all the skills and knowledge gained during my early years with the company to lead cross functional teams, create and implement plans and influence strategy. Prior to Diageo I worked for four years for Viridian where I learned what was necessary to succeed in the highly competitive Energy industry. For my last three years within Viridian I worked as a Marketing and Communication executive where, although distinct to Diageo consumer marketing, I developed my understanding of the fundamentals of marketing and identified my passion for this industry. In education I achieved 3 As at A Level, a first class honours degree in Communication, Advertising and Marketing and a Masters (distinction) in Business Studies.
