I’ve recently taken up a role as Environmental SME & Director of Sales with Future Planet, a company whose mission is to empower companies to enhance their societal and environmental footprint. We're here to help organisations on their sustainability journey. The UN defines sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” In a business context, having a strategy that balances the two sides of this equation is now an imperative, particularly with a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape (e.g. CSRD and in the EU), intensifying climate-related business risks and increased scrutiny from a variety of stakeholders (shareholders, employees, local communities). Before, that, I worked in several consulting roles. I helped clients develop and maintain sustainable business practices, which included providing services with respect to developing GHG emissions inventories and decarbonisation initiatives, controlling environmental impact, supplying and using energy, advanced analytics, appraising investment opportunities and voluntary climate reporting. My experience in different consulting roles has given me a strong grounding in tackling complex problems, and applying analytical and quantitative skill. I've successfully managed multi-year projects that required extensive engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders. I'm responsible for managing client accounts and for generating new business through developing public and private sector proposals. Demonstrated passions for renewable energy, sustainability, resource efficiency, and agriculture & food, through my work, academic studies and personal interests. I've completed an Executive MBA at UCD Michael Smurfit Business School.
