About Conell Phillips

I am a mission-driven, highly engaged people and operations leader, with extensive experience managing large teams, budgets, and recruiting and hiring within the K-12 space. I possess six years of experience in executive school leadership, as a principal and assistant principal, leading all strategy, academics, and operations within Title I schools. During my tenure as principal of Lake Cormorant High school in Mississippi, I led the school to the highest graduation rate in school history, and earned the school’s highest-ever accountability rating from the state. I am an expert in building trust and engaging communities, increasing student enrollment and neighborhood home sales following record school performance. My experience also includes overseeing recruitment, hiring, onboarding, development, and performance management for a staff comprised of 100+ professionals. I’m excited by the opportunity to flex my strengths in talent, community engagement, and operations to advance important work in schools and communities.
