About Conner Kojima
As an undergraduate researcher at the Hutchins Lab and the Thrash Lab at USC, I apply my data science and human biology skills to explore the interactive effects of ocean warming and iron limitation on bacteria that influence climate change. I developed bioinformatic tools to analyze these bacteria and contributed to publications in microbiology journals. I currently am pursuing a BA degree in data science and human biology at USC, with an interest in emergency medicine, oceanography, and tutoring. I have obtained certifications in Figma for UX Design and EMT, and worked as an EMT at PRN Ambulance for seven months. I am passionate about learning new things, helping others, and finding solutions to complex problems.
