About Conner Neal

I'm a recent graduate from Oregon State University seeking opportunities to gain practical experience within the field of physical therapy. During my time at OSU I took a variety of physical therapy related course work, including a full year of anatomy and physiology, and excelled in my studies. I plan to apply to physical therapy graduate programs in 2016, and in order to do so I need more experience in PT settings. I am interested in both paid or unpaid experience. For the past six years I have worked as a Direct Care Worker for adults with developmental disabilities, in a group-home setting. I help to provide the best possible quality of life for the individuals I support by promoting independence and personal development. My position requires me to be flexible and adaptable, as each day is different and presents its own set of challenges. Each individual I support lives life in a unique way, so it is my responsibility to support them in the best possible way. I am a natural fit for patient centered work because I am friendly and patient. I enjoy work environments that are dynamic and frequently provide me with new challenges. I like to connect with people on an individual level and support them in achieving the goals they have set for themselves. I have a BS with an option in pre-physical therapy from Oregon State University, and an Associates of Arts from Linn-Benton Community College. I am current on my CPR and First aid certifications.
